Rocafella was the shit back in the early 2000's and Freeway's "what we do" is still one of my favorite songs ever. The album Philadelphia Freeway is great too, a lot of obscure samples were used during the production. For this joint Just Blaze used a sample from Creative Sources "I Just Cant See Myself Without You".

Just Blaze is a well known producer, so to collab with Jay Electronica is no small thing at all, and from the instrumental he whipped up for Jay Elec, it's obvious this collab was meant to make a statment on both ends. The track Blaze sampled originates from Billy Stewart's "Cross my heart", so listen to the transformation and enjoy....

Recent talks with The Brooklyn Bodega revealed that Jay Electronica and Lupe Fiasco might be getting on a track together. No one really talks about how often they are compared, but it happens more often than not. The two concious cannons attack similar contents but at different angles. It would be very exciting to listen to what kind of chemistry they would create.. "We going to be on a track together in the immediate future. That's my brother. He reached out. I got bad phone etiquette so it took me a minute to reach back. But we gonna reach, we gonna talk. We’ve been in communication and we’re going to work," said Electronica.
